Fields Tab

You can use the Fields tab to examine the information displayed for each field in the selected table or master data projects. The following columns are displayed:

• Name
• Role
• Type
• Length
• Decimal
• Is Nullable
• Description

Some of these columns are not displayed in all situations. (When you access the Fields tab from a master data project, the fields from the MDM_SURVIVINGRECORDS_VW table are displayed.)

The toolbar contains the following elements:

Action Menu - Enables you to perform actions on fields in the table. You can also right-click in the Fields tab to perform the actions shown in the pop-up menu.

Add Field to Collection - Enables you to add one or more selected fields to a new or existing collection, which you can edit in the Collection editor.

Profile Field - Enables you to save or add one or more selected fields as a Profile, which you can edit in the Profile editor.

Show Field Analysis Pane - Enables you to review a graphic display for a selected field in the table. You can configure these graphics by setting options that change dynamically, depending on the field and the type of graphic. The pane contains tabs that contain depictions of counts, lengths, and reports.
