Right Fielding Node

You can add a Right Fielding node to a data job to copy data from one field to another based on the data type, as determined by an identification analysis. This node is commonly used under the following conditions:

Once you have added the Right Fielding node, you can double-click it to open its properties dialog. The properties dialog includes the following elements:

Name - Specifies a name for the node.

Notes - Enables you to open the Notes dialog. You use the dialog to enter optional details or any other relevant information for the input.

Locale - Enables you to select the locale within your Quality Knowledge Base (QKB) to use.

Definition - Enables you to select an identification analysis definition to be used for the identification analysis. The list contains all definitions available in the currently selected locale. The definition should be related to the type of data being analyzed. For example, if analyzing contact information, choose the Contact Info definition.

The Input fields section of the dialog includes the following elements:

Available - Displays the fields that you can make available for the next step in your data job. Items displayed in this list are dependent on your data sources and any preceding steps in your data job.

Selected - Displays the fields that will be made available to the next node in your data job.

The Output fields section of the dialog includes the following elements:

Output fields table - Displays the output of the right fielding operation. You can click Add to add new rows to the table and use the arrow and delete buttons to maintain the table.

Additional Outputs - Displays the Additional Outputs dialog. This dialog enables you to specify the fields that you can make available to the next node in your data job.

Preserve null values - When selected, specifies that null values in the data source are preserved.
