DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.6: User Guide
You can add a Dynamic Scheme Application node to a data job to perform a single scheme standardization on a specific field containing multiple locales. If you have multiple schemes in different locales, you can apply them in the Dynamic Scheme Application node if you know the locale and the scheme you want to apply or you can use the Create Scheme node in conjunction with the Dynamic Scheme Application node. Once you have added the node, you can double-click it to open its properties dialog. The properties dialog includes the following elements:
Name - Specifies a name for the node.
Notes - Enables you to open the Notes dialog. You use the dialog to enter optional details or any other relevant information for the input.
Output Field - Specifies the name of the field that contains the new value after the scheme is applied. You can create a new field with the Dynamic Scheme node, or you can specify the name of an existing field in your data job.
Field Name - Enables you to select the field that contains the data on which the scheme will be applied (for example, a state or province).
Scheme Field - Enables you to select the filename of the scheme to be applied.
Note: This field must contain the physical filename, not the long description of the scheme. It is not necessary to include the full path.
The QKB schemes installed on your system can be found in DataFlux Data Management Studio under Quality Knowledge Base > Schemes. Here you can see a listing of all schemes available to this node. To find the physical filename of the scheme, view the Filename property.
Locale Field - Enables you to select the field that contains the name of the locale that contains the scheme. This field must include the 5 character representation of the locale, such as ENUSA or ENCAN.
Additional Outputs - Displays the Additional Outputs dialog. This dialog enables you to specify the fields that you can make available to the next node in your data job.
You can access the following advanced properties by right-clicking the Dynamic Scheme node:
