DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.6: User Guide
You can add a US City/State/Zip Validation node to a data job to verify that a city and state are correct for the ZIP code provided in the data input. Once you have added the node, you can double-click it to open its properties dialog. The properties dialog includes the following elements:
Name - Specifies a name for the node.
Notes - Enables you to open the Notes dialog. You use the dialog to enter optional details or any other relevant information for the input.
The Input fields section of the dialog includes the following elements:
City - Enables you to select a field that contains city data from the drop-down menu.
State - Enables you to select a field that contains state data from the drop-down menu.
Zip - Enables you to select a field that contains ZIP, ZIP Code, or Postal Code data from the drop-down menu.
The Output fields section of the dialog includes the following elements:
Validation Result - Displays the true or false status of the City/State/ZIP combination. If it is true, it is a valid combination. If the result is false, it is not a valid combination.
Validation Status - When selected, displays the validation status of the Valid, City/State/combination. The Validation Status field is optional.
Additional Outputs - Displays the Additional Outputs dialog. This dialog enables you to specify the fields that you can make available to the next node in your data job.
You can access the following advanced properties by right-clicking the US City/State/Zip Validation node:
