Creating a Master Data Projects Repository

Like other features in DataFlux Data Management Studio, DataFlux Master Data Management Foundations stores its jobs, entities, and other metadata in a repository. For general information about these repositories, see Maintaining Repository Definitions.

You can use an existing DataFlux Data Management Studio repository for a master data project, if the repository is in one of these database formats: 

DataFlux Master Data Foundations does a lot of SQL updates to objects in the repository. The databases cited above can support these intensive updates.

By default, the DataFlux Master Data Foundations content will be stored the master_data subfolder in the File storage area. You can change the default location for this content. Specify a path for the macro variable MDM_REPOSITORY_ROOT_FOLDER in a configuration file, such as app.cfg.
