COBOL Copybook Layout Editor

In order to use the Copybook Source Layout option, you must open your copybook in the COBOL Copybook Layout Editor.

The Main Menu - Contains standard menu items and the following items that are specific to the COBOL Copybook Layout Editor:

• Import From Copybook (File) - Enables you to select a copybook to be processed in the editor. Most COBOL code is supported, but the THRU option of the VALUE clause for an 88-level variable is not supported. After you have imported a copybook file, you can click a field in the hierarchy shown on the left side of the editor to view the Property Name and Property Value for the field.
• Modify Property Value (Edit) - Enables you to modify a selected property value.

The Toolbar contains the following elements:

• Open - Enables you to open an existing layout (XML) file.
• Import - Enables you to import an existing copybook into the COBOL Copybook Layout Editor.
• Save - Enables you to save the copybook file as a layout file.
• Modify - Enables you to modify a selected property.
• Help - Displays Help for the COBOL Copybook Layout Editor.

The Layout Table displays the available layouts. The table includes Name and Value columns.
