The SAS/C Sample
Library is a diverse collection of SAS/C
programs included on the Usage Notes tape to assist system and application
developers. The library contains programs, functions, and utilities that demonstrate
features of the SAS/C Compiler library.
The sample library also includes the necessary JCL and directions to compile,
link, and execute SAS/C programs. The
sample library includes C to assembler and assembler to C programs, interlanguage
communication between C and other high-level languages (COBOL, FORTRAN, PL1), TCP/IP client
and server applications, along with C and C++ samples. Some of the programs
require special products, such as ISPF, DB2®, or
the SAS/C FSSL product in order to
execute.

For each program in the sample library, there is a
corresponding
file that explains how to compile, link, and execute the program. For example,
the FTOC program converts Farenheit to Celsius temperature readings. For instructions
