_fcntl is a version of fcntl designed
to operate only on OpenEdition files. _fcntl runs faster and calls
fewer other library routines than fcntl. The _fcntl function is used exactly
like the standard fcntl function. The first argument to _fcntl must
be the file descriptor for an open HFS file. Refer to fcntl for a full
