Executing Applets and Applications

To test your applet or application, perform one of these steps:

• Select Build Execute.
• Click the Execute icon () on the Build toolbar.
• Press CTRL + F5.

If your project contains an applet or an applet and application, it is executed in a Web browser. If your project contains just an application, it is executed using the java command. The java command may be configured to use the appropriate tools in your Java tool set.

You can also test the execution of an applet in a browser.

• Select Build Execute in browser Browser-Name, where Browser-Name is the browser in which you want to test the applet.

Note: Make sure the applicable Java Plug-in is installed for your browser.
