About the Dice Roll Simulation Task

The Dice Roll Simulation task simulates rolling a specified number of dice. The results show the frequency and percentage of each possible roll given a specified number of throws.

Example: Probability of Outcomes for 100,000,000 Dice Rolls

To create this example:
  1. In the Tasks section, expand the Combinatorics and Probability folder and double-click Dice Roll Simulation. The user interface for the Dice Roll Simulation task opens.
  2. On the Options tab, specify these options.
    Option Name
    Value to Specify
    Number of dice
    2
    Number of rolls
    100,000,000
    Data set name
    Dice
  3. To run the task, click Submit SAS Code.

Setting Options

All of these options are required to run the Dice Roll Simulation task.
