Select Tables and Select Folder Location Page

Use the Select Tables and Select Folder Location page to perform the following tasks:
  • choose the SAP R/3 tables you want to identify as data sources.
  • specify a metadata folder location for the table metadata.
You can also search the available tables for a specific text string, view the data in a selected table, and display the table metadata. The navigation selection that you make on the Subset Tables page determines which view displays in the Select Tables page:
  • an alphabetical tree that groups tables by the first letter of the table name. This view displays if you selected the Select SAP Tables By Starting Letter of Table option on the Subset Tables page. The alphabetical tree view groups tables according to the first letter of the technical table name. There is one folder for each letter in the alphabet and also an Other folder, which contains tables that begin with numbers or special characters. You can expand and contract the folders associated with each letter in the alphabet to see all tables with names that begin with that letter.
  • an alphabetical list that lists tables by their technical names. This view displays if you selected the List of All SAP Tables in Alphabetical Order option. The alphabetical tree view lists tables according to the first letter of the technical table name.
  • a subset of tables based on user-defined selection criteria This view displays if you selected the Subset of SAP Tables Based on Selection Criteria option and then specified your selection criteria on the Build Expression (WHERE Clause) page. Tables are listed in alphabetical order according to table name.
