SAS/Warehouse Administrator and its metadata repositories must
be installed on a PC or a workstation that is running Microsoft Windows, Microsoft
Windows NT, IBM OS/2, or a supported
version of UNIX. However, data sources, warehouse data stores, code libraries,
and other warehouse resources can be stored on any host that can run any currently
supported release of SAS.
Your SAS installation coordinator will help you select
appropriate hardware for your project. The configuration sections in this
chapter show some typical hardware configurations.
