One
of the most powerful benefits of SAS LASR Analytic Server is the ability to read data
in parallel from a
co-located data provider. In this configuration, the SAS LASR Analytic Server software is installed on the
same hardware as the
data provider. The following legacy data providers are supported, and their default
library names and locations are as follows:

The data builder excels at accessing data from a variety of data sources, performing
basic
data preparation, and then
staging the prepared data. After the data is staged, the server can load the data to memory
for exploration, reporting, and further in-memory data preparation.
