Add a Server Connection for Android

To access your organization’s library server, you must add a connection to that server. If your organization has more than one server, you can add connections to additional servers the same way.
Note: Contact your SAS Visual Analytics system administrator for your user ID, password, and server information.
To connect to a server:
  1. Tap the navigation drawer button to open the navigation drawer.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Add Connection.
  4. In the Server field, enter the address of the new server.
  5. In the Port field, enter the port number for the new server.
  6. Tap Secure connection if the server requires a secure connection (SSL).
  7. Tap Next to verify the connection.
Note: If the connection fails, a message is displayed to help you correct the problem.
  8. If the server provides guest access, Log on as guest appears. Tap Log on as guest to access the server without providing credentials.
  9. If the server requires security credentials to access reports:
    1. In the User ID field, enter your user ID.
    2. In the Password field, enter your password.
  10. (Optional) In the Description field, customize the description for the connection.
Note: If you delete the default description, you must enter a new description. The field cannot be blank.
  11. Tap Next to verify your access to the server.
Note: If the verification fails, a message is displayed to help you correct the problem.
  12. Tap Done.
The connection is saved, and the Add Connection window closes.
Note: If the connection fails, tap Edit Details to make corrections.
Note: Information about available reports is automatically downloaded and appears in the library.
