SAS Visual Data Builder
provides an easy-to-use method for taking a query and making it available
for scheduling as a flow. However, the Schedule Manager plug-in to
SAS Management Console provides additional resources for managing
deployed flows, job dependencies, and scheduling servers.
For users that are familiar
with the Schedule Manager plug-in, be aware that SAS Visual Data Builder
does not support scheduling queries without a trigger. In the Schedule
Manager plug-in, this option is specified as the
Manually
to the scheduling server option. If this is your preferred
method for scheduling, you can use the Schedule Manager plug-in to
modify the flow for the scheduled query. If you use SAS Visual Data Builder
to schedule the query afterward, the setting is lost and you need
to repeat your steps with the Schedule Manager plug-in.
