Overview
SecondaryType subtypes are used with a PrimaryType metadata type to create a logical metadata definition. The SecondaryType objects provide secondary, or supporting, information for the PrimaryType object in the definition.
Secondary objects are not intended to stand alone in a SAS Metadata Repository and may not reside in the SAS Folder tree. They are intended to be contained by the primary object and may not be shared by two primary objects or have separate security assigned on them. A secondary object whose primary object has a valid PublicType value set will automatically be retrieved, copied, moved, and deleted when the primary object is retrieved, copied, moved, or deleted. A secondary object whose primary object does not have a value in the PublicType attribute needs to be explicitly retrieved, copied, moved, and deleted when its associated primary object is retrieved, copied, moved, or deleted, unless it is a dependent object. A dependent object is deleted when its owning object is deleted.Security Inheritance and Enforcement Rules
