Example with Two Grouping Variables, Replication

Replication means taking more than one response measurement at some or all levels of a factor. In two-factor situations, replication can be represented in the data entry table by identifying more than one row or column with the same factor level.

For example, suppose you measured a response at various combinations of temperature and pressure, taking two measurements at each temperature:

high Pressure medium low

high 111

115 93 65
Temperature medium 101 87 53

103 92 53

low 102 79 42

101 88 47
