Enter Data Several Observations at a Time

This selection allows you to enter data using a tabular windowing environment somewhat like a spreadsheet. The variables of the new SAS data set are the columns of the table, and the observations of the new SAS data set are the rows of the table. If your data set will contain a relatively low number of variables and method 2 (enter ANOVA data in a table) is not suitable for its creation, this method is recommended.

Before the data entry environment comes up, you are asked to provide a name for the new data set and information on the variables to be in it. For the variables, you provide names and types, and optionally lengths, labels, formats, and informats.

In the data entry environment, tab to go from one column to the next. Press <Enter> to go to the next row.

This selection is available only if SAS/FSP software is licensed at your site.
