In
a non-distributed deployment, the SAS LASR Analytic Server
runs on a single machine. All of the in-memory analytic features that
are available for the distributed deployment are also available for
the non-distributed server.
One key difference has to do with reading and writing data. Because the server does
not use a distributed computing environment, the server cannot be co-located with
a data provider. The server does not read data in parallel and does not write SASHDAT
files to
HDFS.
