A plot
is a visual representation of data such as a scatter plot, a series
line, a bar chart, or a histogram. A graph can contain one or more
plots. Many analytical graphs are built by layering multiple plots
in a graph cell.
Note: You cannot
add plots to matrix graphs that you create from the
Matrix tab of the Graph Gallery.
To add
a plot to a graph cell:
-
-
In the
Plot Layers panel of the
Elements pane, click and drag
a plot icon to a cell in your graph.
-
Right-click inside a graph cell
and choose
Add an Element from the pop-up
menu. Then click a plot icon from the
Elements pop-up window.
The Assign
Data dialog box opens.
-
-
Repeat
the previous steps if you want to overlay another plot on the existing
plot.
Note: All plots in
a cell must use a single common data set.
