Changing ETL Configuration Settings

After you have initialized and enabled the Service Architecture, you can change some of the default configuration settings for the ETL processes. To change the settings, follow these steps:
  1. Log on to SAS Management Console.
  2. On the Plug-ins tab, select Application Managementthen selectConfiguration Manager.
  3. Right-click EnvMgr Enablement Kit 2.2 and select Properties.
  4. In the EnvMgr Enablement Kit 2.2 Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab.
  5. In the navigation area for the Settings tab, select Data Mart ETL Setting. You can change the following configuration properties:
ACM Number of Days of Raw Records
specifies the number of days that data collected by the ACM ETL is retained in the raw library. This library contains metric data that has been extracted from the SAS Environment Manager database and has undergone limited transformation. This data is used to provide a pool of historical data to create reporting data sets. The tables in this library are not available to users. They are used internally only by the service architecture as part of the ACM ETL process. The default value is 11 days.
    CAUTION:
Do not change this value unless instructed to by SAS Technical Support.
Number of Days of Resource Records in Data Mart
specifies the number of days that metric data that is collected by the ETL processes is retained in the data mart libraries. The default value is 60 days.
Number of Days of Audit Records to Retain in Data Mart
specifies the number of days that audit data (from resource activity) that is collected by the ETL processes is retained in the data mart. The default value is 365 days.
    Delay Threshold
specifies the number of minutes that the ETL process should subtract from the current time to calculate the end of the data extraction time period. For example, if the ACM ETL process runs at 1:00 AM and the Delay Threshold is set to 7, the ETL process queries for all data between the last time it ran and 12:53 AM. This property accounts for data that might be lost because of communication delays between the SAS Environment Manager agent and server.
    CAUTION:
Do not change this value unless instructed to by SAS Technical Support.
    ext
This is an internal property and should not be changed.
    Datamart Time Zone
specifies the time zone in which the data was produced. The default value specifies to use the current setting for the SAS option.
  6. Click OK to save your changes. The new settings are applied the next time the ETL process runs.
