Starting and Stopping SAS/CONNECT

Specifying a Communications Access Method

To make a SAS/CONNECT client/server connection, in the client session, you must specify TCP/IP as the access method to communicate with the computer that the server session runs on.

Note:   TCP/IP is the default communications access method for most operating environments. If the client/server sessions run under the z/OS operating environment, you can specify the XMS access method.  [cautionend]

Example:

options comamid=tcp;

For details about using communications access methods, see Communications Access Methods for SAS/CONNECT and SAS/SHARE.
