SAS Web
Report Studio enables users to view and, in some cases, modify reports
that are created by using a variety of other SAS products, including
SAS Web OLAP Viewer for Java, SAS Output Delivery System (ODS), and
SAS Enterprise Guide. You view a shared, externally created report
in the same way that you view a saved report.
There
is no definitive list of default features for an externally created
report because the features depend on the application that was used
to create the report. Some externally created reports support the
same features as a saved report. Other reports, such as those created
by using SAS Enterprise Guide or ODS, cannot be modified, although
report authors can use SAS Web Report Studio to add new sections.
The added sections will support the standard editing features.
SAS Web
Report Studio 4.2 supports the ability to open PDF output that is
generated from ODS.
Note: A report generated
from ODS is different than the reports that are created by SAS Web
OLAP Viewer for Java and SAS Enterprise Guide.
SAS Web
Report Studio opens PDF output from ODS in a separate window. However,
HTML output from ODS, which is similar to output from SAS Web OLAP
Viewer for Java and SAS Enterprise Guide, opens in a SAS Web Report
Studio window.
You can
access PDF output from ODS by using either the
Open dialog box or the
File Management window
in SAS Web Report Studio.
Note: This documentation
focuses on tasks that you can perform on reports that are created
by using SAS Web Report Studio.
