The servers in the SAS Intelligence
Platform communicate with clients and other servers using TCP/IP.
Each server listens on a particular port or ports for incoming requests.
Middle-tier SAS applications communicate with each other using a combination
of multicast IP addresses and multicast UDP ports. During installation,
the SAS Deployment Wizard enables you to either accept the default
ports or to specify different port numbers.
