The
Export SAS Package and Import SAS Package wizards provide a graphical
user interface for performing promotions. The wizards are available
in SAS Management Console, SAS Data Integration Studio, and SAS OLAP
Cube Studio. You can use the wizards to promote individual metadata
objects or groups of objects from one metadata server to another,
or from one location to another on the same metadata server. You can
also promote the physical files that are associated with the metadata.
This chapter tells how
to access the wizards. It then provides an example scenario that shows
how to use the wizards to export and import a package containing several
types of related business intelligence objects. The chapter also provides
instructions for using the advanced features of the wizards.
