Overview of Installing Third-Party Products
Third-party products play an important role in the SAS Intelligence Platform. For example, if your system includes Web applications such as SAS Web Report Studio or the SAS Information Delivery Portal, you will need to install third-party products such as a Java Development Kit (JDK) and a Web application server in order to compile and execute these applications.
Installing required third-party software is the fourth of five steps in deploying SAS:
1. Review additional documentation.
2.
Create operating system users and groups and designate ports.
3.
Create a SAS Software Depot.

Install and configure SAS.
