The following table lists the SAS/EIS objects that require metabase registrations. For each object, the required and optional metabase registrations, as well as any additional requirements for data preparation, are outlined.

Comparison Report	ANALYSIS (2 are required), HIERARCH	SUMMARY	This object can run with any table. However, presummarizing the data, using the HIERARCH variables as class variables, will improve the speed of execution.
Expanding Report	ANALYSIS, HIERARCH	SUMMARY	This object can run with any table. However, presummarizing the data, using the HIERARCH variables as class variables, will improve the speed of execution.
Graphical Variance Report	ANALYSIS, HIERARCH	MDDB, COMPUTED	None.
Grouped Bar Chart	ANALYSIS, HIERARCH	SUMMARY	This object can run with any table. However, presummarizing the data, using the HIERARCH variables as class variables, will improve the speed of execution.
Map	ANALYSIS, HIERARCH, MAPINFO	COMPUTED, MDDB	Your table should contain information that is appropriate for geographical representation. In addition, you must have the necessary map data set(s) for your application.
Multicolumn Report	ANALYSIS, HIERARCH	SUMMARY	This object can run with any table. However, presummarizing the data, using the HIERARCH variables as class variables, will improve the speed of execution.
Multidimensional Business Trends	ANALYSIS, FORECAST, TIMEPER	CATEGORY, MDDB	None.
Multidimensional Chart	CATEGORY or HIERARCH, ANALYSIS	MDDB, COMPUTED	None.
Multidimensional Pie Chart	CATEGORY or HIERARCH, ANALYSIS	MDDB, COMPUTED	None.
Multidimensional Report	CATEGORY or HIERARCH, ANALYSIS	HIERARCH, MDDB, COMPUTED	None.
Organizational Chart	HIERARCH or ORGDATA, ANALYSIS	MDDB, COMPUTED	This object can use data in two different forms. For the first form, any table that has a hierarchy registered with the HIERARCH attribute can be used. The second form of data must be registered with the ORGDATA attribute.
Plot	X, Y	CLASS	This object can run with any table. However, a table summarized by the X variable, the CLASS variable, or both might produce a more meaningful plot.
Simple Forecast	DATE, FORECAST	None	The table must be sorted sequentially by the DATE column. There must be one unique DATE column value for each row. The DATE column values should represent regular, uniform periods of time.
Univariate Forecast	DATE, FORECAST	None	The table must be sorted sequentially by the DATE column. There must be one unique DATE column value for each row. The DATE column values should represent regular, uniform periods of time.
Variance Report	ACTUAL, BUDGET, CATEGORY	HIERARCH	None.
What-If Analysis	DATE, FORECAST, X	None	The table must be sorted sequentially by the DATE column. There must be one unique DATE column value for each row. The DATE column values should represent regular, uniform periods of time.
