Creating and Loading SYSTEM 2000 Databases

Selecting a Processing Mode for Loading Data

Two modes of processing are available when loading data with the DBLOAD procedure: insert mode and optimized load mode. Insert mode must be used to add data records to existing logical entries. Optimized load mode is a fast, efficient way to add new logical entries to the database. For details about these processing modes, see the information about the S2KLOAD statement in DBLOAD Procedure Statements.
