This course provides detailed information about different cube design and cube building methods for SAS OLAP cubes. In addition, the course covers aggregation tuning, query performance, and how to monitor and use the logs provided with the SAS OLAP Server. The Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) language is covered in-depth as a mechanism for extending the capabilities that a cube offers.

Prerequisites
Before attending this course, you should have at least six months of experience creating SAS OLAP cubes or have completed the Creating and Exploiting OLAP Using the SAS System course and worked with SAS OLAP cubes for at least one month. Familiarity with SAS programming and table structures is helpful but not required. You can gain SAS knowledge by completing the SAS Programming I: Essentials course. Familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL) or Multidimensional eXpressions (MDX) is also helpful, but not required.
