SAS Institute. The Power to Know

Customizing Your Data Analysis with SAS Stat Studio

Duration: 2 half-day session     CEU: 0.6

Stat Studio is a new product in SAS 9.2 for high-end statistical analysis. It is intended for use by cutting-edge problem solvers who are familiar with SAS STAT and SAS/IML, but who require greater versatility and interactivity to program new methods and explore their results graphically. Stat Studio, which is included with the SAS/IML product, provides a graphical interface for many statistical analyses as well as a programming language that combines SAS programming, IML programming, and interactive data analysis. This course uses SAS Stat Studio 3.1 to produce innovative data analysis solutions through SAS/STAT procedures, IML programming, IMLPlus programming, and a point-and-click interface. Extensive knowledge of IML programming is not necessary for the course, although some familiarity is helpful. Emphasis is on IMLPlus, the extended IML language that ties together data, analysis, and graphics. Students will learn through lecture, demonstrations, and hands-on practice the basics of using SAS Stat Studio 3.1. The course also highlights several advanced topics for extending analyses further.
