SAS OpRisk Management: Overview

This course offers an end-to-end overview of the operational risk management requirements and the SAS Operational Risk Solution. Starting with different legal frameworks and practical examples for why operational risk management is required and what it is about, the training addresses these three SAS solutions: SAS OpRisk Monitor, SAS OpRisk VaR, and SAS OpRisk Global Data. For SAS OpRisk Monitor, attendees are introduced to the different functional modules such as loss data, risk control self assessments (RCSA), key risk indicators (KRI), and issues and action plans, including all base features such as user and role management, workflow, data load, reporting, and so on. Starting with the data load, all possible calculations, configuration, and reporting features offered by SAS OpRisk VaR are discussed. Finally, the contents and legal justification for external data covered by SAS OpRisk Global Data are explained.

This course has a strong emphasis on the legal framework for operational risk management as well as on how the framework is referenced withing the SAS Operational Risk Solution.
