This course focuses on the GLIMMIX procedure, a relatively new procedure for fitting generalized linear mixed models.
Learn how to
- analyze binomial data with random effects
- fit a Poisson regression model and a beta regression model with and without random effects
- analyze repeated measures data with discrete outcomes
- perform post-processing analysis
- use ODS Graphics and the SG procedures in SAS/GRAPH
- jointly model multivariate responses with different distributions
- deal with convergence issues.

Prerequisites
Before attending this course, you should have taken
- SAS Programming I: Essentials or have equivalent SAS programming experience
- Mixed Models Analyses Using the SAS System or have equivalent experience analyzing linear mixed models using the MIXED procedure
- Categorical Data Analysis Using Logistic Regression or have equivalent experience analyzing categorical response data.

- comparisons of the GLIMMIX procedure and the NLMIXED procedure, and the GLIMMIX procedure and the GENMOD procedure
- modeling multivariate responses
- dealing with convergence problems
Software
This course addresses SAS/STAT.
Course Materials
Students attend Live Web classes using a Web browser and a telephone and interact with
their instructor and fellow classmates in real time. Each student receives an e-mail
with instructions on how to join the class three business days before the class begins.
The instructions e-mail includes a link to download the course materials.
Students need to download and print the course materials prior to class.
