What students are saying:
What is your favorite training course and why?
Quality by Design using JMP because the course is so hands-on. Most on-site courses break up into product teams to complete the exercises; it is like a working product team meeting! It's similar in the public courses, although many times each person is working on the tools they are going to take back to their product teams.
What are your favorite apps (iPhone, iPad, etc.)?
NRoam. When I travel, I like to find local hole-in-the-walls, so I use this app. In addition to using this free app, I actually developed it so I am able to show the hole-in-the-walls the app!
What is your most memorable moment of teaching a SAS (or JMP) class?
I once had a legally blind student in an introduction to JMP course. Helping her navigate on an extremely large screen gave me a headache. It was a tough day for me, but I just kept thinking how it must have been even harder for her. In her post-course evaluation, she commented that no instructor had ever taken an sincere interest in her comprehension and was as patient as I was with her. Best evaluation comment I ever received.
