What students are saying:

Tarek is knowledgeable, good-natured, and helpful. He answers all questions thoroughly and researches the answers to questions to which he doesn't immediately have the answers. I will be taking Programming 2 in January and I hope Tarek is the instructor.
This has been my favorite SAS class I have taken. Tarek presented the information in a very clear and concise manner that made all of these seemingly complicated topics very approachable. I was able to connect many of the things we learned to my own work and am looking forward to using these new tools in my daily research.
Again, Tarek's ability to explain difficult concepts was excellent. He was gracious with his answers and never made me feel inadequate. Tarek's teaching style is warm and inviting and it afforded me to opportunity to ask questions that I would not have asked otherwise. I've joked with colleagues that my current employer has forgotten more SAS than I'll ever know. I think this is true of Tarek. He is truly brilliant. I long to know SAS as well as he does. I look forward to taking another one of his courses.

What is your favorite training course and why?
Statistics 2 and Programming 1. These are the classes in which I see students achieve the biggest improvements in their understanding of SAS and statistics. I enjoy helping them improve their skills and seeing them become more confident in their abilities.

Do you have any hobbies, favorite activities, or hidden talents?
I love hunting for music at used record stores. I use Kettlebells a few times a week. Kettlebells are the most versatile fitness tool I've used and they help me undo the effects of working at a computer desk.

What are your favorite apps (iPhone, iPad, etc.)?
I'm not an app person but probably WAZE. When I report a road hazard and get thank you messages from other drivers, it makes me feel like drivers around me are good people looking out for each other. It cultivates the opposite of road rage.

What are your favorite Web sites?
Discogs.com for music hunting, TheOnion.com for humor, and NYTimes.com for news
