Professional experience:
I have been programming in SAS since graduate school in 1987 performing various data management tasks. I have worked with SAS and DataFlux data management technology since the products were in beta phase. I have worked with the data management technology in the field or in the classroom since the mid-1990s, and love to see what the customers are doing with it!

What is your favorite training course and why?
I really like the Customize the Quality Knowledge Base (QKB) course because it is such powerful functionality, and also how easily you can tweak the algorithms to accomplish some pretty cool things.
What is the best part about teaching?
Hearing how the attendees applied the knowledge gained to better perform their job.
Do you have any hobbies, favorite activities, or hidden talents?
When I am not at work, I enjoy fishing and golfing on the beautiful coast of North Carolina. I also serve as a volunteer firefighter in my local community, along with both of my sons.
What is your favorite place or dream vacation destination?
The Amalfi coast in Italy has to be among my favorite places I have vacationed.
