Class Info
You can check in and pick up your course materials beginning at 8:30am. Classes start at 9am and end by 5pm each day. If the schedule is different, it will be noted on the Web as well as in your confirmation e-mail.- Photo ID: For security purposes, please be prepared to show a photo ID. You may have to check in at the security desk in the building lobby before proceeding to the SAS training facility.
- No recording devices: Recording devices, including video and audio, are not permitted in the classroom.
- Cell phones: Students are asked to turn cell phones and pagers off or to set them to vibrate.
- Courtesy phones: Phones are available as a courtesy for our students. Please be considerate and limit your calls to approximately 5 minutes.
- Children/guests: Attendees are not allowed to have children or guests accompany them in the training facility.
- Room temperature: Classroom temperatures do fluctuate. Please bring a light jacket or sweater to ensure your comfort level.

Smoking or the use of smokeless tobacco products is prohibited in SAS buildings, in company or personal vehicles, or anywhere on the SAS World Headquarters campus.Meals
A continental breakfast is provided each day as part of the course fee. Classes will break for lunch around 12 noon; however, lunch is not provided. You will receive a list of convenient restaurants within walking distance.Emergencies
In case of emergency, your family or coworkers can leave you a message during class hours by calling the Training Center Receptionist at 301-838-7030.In case of inclement weather, please call ahead for information on delayed openings or cancellations.
Travel Information
Please note: Many GPS and commercial mapping applications (ie, Google Map, etc.) do not map 111 Rockville Pike correctly. Please reference our map for accurate directions.You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the SAS training course.
The training center is located in the Rockville Metro Plaza I, diagonally across the street from the Rockville Metro station, on the 10th floor of the building.
Driving Directions
From North (Gaithersburg, Germantown, Frederick) via highway
- South on I-270 (local lanes)
- Take Exit 5, Falls Road, toward Rockville Town Center
- Proceed through the first stop light. Falls Road becomes Maryland Avenue.
- Get in the left lane as the road forks to stay on Maryland Avenue.
- Continue on Maryland, through Rockville Town Square until the street ends. Take a right onto Beall Avenue.
- Make the next right at the light, onto Rt. 355 (Rockville Pike/Hungerford Drive).
- Drive past the first parking garage and take the second right into the parking lot under our building.
- If you reach the next traffic light at E. Middle Lane, you can also enter our parking garage by making the first right turn into the side entrance.
- North on I-270 (local lanes).

- Continue on Rt. 355 North.
- After you drive past Rockville Metro Station on your right, get into the far left lane and make a U-turn at next light which is Beall Avenue (CVS on corner).
- Immediately move into right lane. Drive past the first parking garage and take the second right into the parking lot under our building.
- If you reach the next traffic light at E. Middle Lane, you can also enter our parking garage by making the first right turn into the side entrance.
Please note: Rockville Pike changes names to Hungerford Drive on our block.
Parking for Rockville Metro Plaza I is under the building and will cost $10.50 per day. At this time, SAS does not validate parking. Only credit card payments are accepted. On garage level P5, there is no elevator access and stairs are required to reach the building lobby.
Handicap/Wheelchair Access: Handicap parking spaces are available in the interior parking lot and at each level of the covered parking garage, with the exception of P5, which is stair access only. If you require wheelchair access, we would suggest parking in the parking garage at the lobby level. The building elevator is accessible from the top of the wheelchair ramp on the lobby level of the parking garage.
By Metro
Red Line
- Take Red Line toward Shady Grove.
- Get off train at the Rockville Metro Stop.
- Exit station to the left.
- Take the right staircase and walk to the intersection of Park Rd and Rte 355 on your right (Rte 355 is also called Rockville Pike and Hungerford Dr).
- Cross Rte 355. Our building is located diagonally across from the Rockville Metro station. Note that Park Rd changes names to East Middle Lane after crossing Rte 355.
Blue/Orange Line
- Take Metro to Metro Center.
- Get off train and transfer to Red Line toward Shady Grove.
- Follow Red Line instructions above.
- Take Green/Yellow Line to Gallery Place/Chinatown.
- Get off train and transfer to Red Line toward Shady Grove.
- Follow Red Line instructions above.
