When you attend a class in one of our training centers, you can check in and pick up your course materials beginning at
8:30am. Classes start at 9am and end by 4 or 5pm each day. If the schedule is different, it will be noted on the Web as
well as in your confirmation email.
Photo ID: For security purposes, please be prepared to show a
photo ID. You may have to check in at the security desk in the building lobby
before proceeding to the SAS training facility.
No recording devices: Recording devices, including video and audio,
are not permitted in the classroom.
Cell phones: Students are asked to turn cell phones and pagers
off or to set them to vibrate.
Courtesy phones: Training Center phones are available as a
courtesy for our students. Please be considerate and limit your calls to
approximately 5 minutes.
Children/guests: Attendees are not allowed to have children or
guests accompany them in the training center.
Room temperature: Classroom temperatures do fluctuate. Please
bring a light jacket or sweater to ensure your comfort level.
SAS is a tobacco-free company
Smoking or the use of smokeless tobacco products is prohibited in SAS buildings, in company or personal vehicles, or
anywhere on the SAS World Headquarters campus.
Meals
A continental breakfast is provided each day as part of the course fee.
Classes will break for lunch around 12 noon; however, lunch is not
provided.
Emergencies
In case of emergency, your family or coworkers can leave you a message
during class hours by calling the Training Center Coordinator at
949-852-9935.
In case of inclement weather, please call ahead for information on delayed
openings or cancellations.
Directions
Embassy Suites and Crowne Plaza hotels provide transportation to and from
the SAS training course. Please arrange this transportation through the
front desk of the hotel. Students staying at the Hyatt may walk the short
distance to the training center.
All three recommended hotels provide transportation to and from the Orange
County John Wayne Airport. To request the service from Embassy or Crowne
Plaza, please use the hotel courtesy phone located in the baggage clam
area. For transportation to the Hyatt, please use the Hyatt Regency Irvine
Airport Check-in Desk also located in the baggage clam area.
Parking is not included in the course fee and will not be validated at
the Training Center.
Closest parking is available directly behind
Building 5 in the parking structure at the rate of $18 per day.
Students will need to enter and exit through the visitor entrance located
near Coronado St.
All-Day Visitor parking is located on Level 1. If no
space is available here, students should park on Level 2 or higher in any
space not marked reserved.
Best Value parking is located in our Park Plaza Center at the Hyatt
Regency Hotel adjacent to the Training Center. We have a negotiated rate
of $6 per day; inform the attendant at exit or payment that
you are "taking a class at SAS" to get this rate. The uncovered
self-parking lot is located directly behind the Hyatt Regency Hotel and
signs are posted showing where to access self-parking. Once in the lot,
proceed to the far left side of the self-parking lot farthest from the
hotel as this will put you closer to SAS in Building 5.
Guests who may be staying overnight at this hotel may be subject to a different parking rate.
Directions from Orange County's John Wayne Airport to Training Center and the
Hyatt Regency/Irvine
As you depart the airport terminal/rental car area, stay in the left lanes until you see
signs to MacArthur Blvd. At MacArthur Blvd., proceed straight through traffic signal onto
Michelson Drive. Drive approximately 1 mile on Michelson Drive and turn left onto Jamboree
Road. Stay in the left lanes as you proceed across the freeway. (The right lanes take
you directly onto the freeway.) The hotel entrance will be on your right. The Training
Center is located just behind the hotel in Building 5.
Directions from Orange County's John Wayne Airport to the Embassy Suites
As you depart the airport terminal/rental car area, stay in the left lanes until you see
signs to MacArthur Boulevard. Turn left onto MacArthur and proceed over the 405 freeway.
Turn right on Main Street. The Embassy Suites will be located on the right, just past
Gillette at 2120 Main.
Directions from the San Diego Freeway (405) to the Training Center
Take the San Diego Freeway (405) exit at Jamboree Road. (If you are coming from the Los
Angeles or North Orange County area, turn left onto Jamboree. If you are coming from the
San Diego or South Orange County area, turn right onto Jamboree.) Just after crossing the
(405) freeway, you will see the entrance to Jamboree Center on your right.
Metro Link from Los Angeles
Take the Metro Link train from the Los Angeles Union Station
to the Tustin Station, which is 3.2 miles from the Training Center. From the Tustin station take the
Irvine i-Shuttle Route B and exit at the Main & Union stop,
at the entrance of Jamboree Center. SAS is located in Bldg 5 at 5 Park Plaza, Suite 900, within this center. The shuttle
commute time from the Tustin Station is about 15 minutes.
Amtrak
Students traveling from San Diego County can take the Amtrak train to
the Irvine Train Station, which is 10.1 miles from the Training Center. From there, take the OCTA bus line
(Orange County Transit Authority) or a taxi to the Training Center.
