Course Schedule and Location Information

Class Info

You can check in and pick up your course materials beginning at 8:30 am. Classes start at 9 am and end by 4 or 5 pm each day.

Photo ID: For security purposes, please be prepared to show a photo ID. You may have to check in at the security desk in the building lobby before proceeding to the SAS training facility.
No recording devices: Recording devices, including video and audio, are not permitted in the classroom.
Cell phones: Students are asked to turn cell phones and pagers off or to set them to vibrate.
Courtesy phones: Training Center phones are available as a courtesy for our students. Please be considerate and limit your calls to approximately 5 minutes.
Children/guests: Attendees are not allowed to have children or guests accompany them in the training center.
Room temperature: Classroom temperatures do fluctuate. Please bring a light jacket or sweater to ensure your comfort level.

SAS is a tobacco-free company

Smoking or the use of smokeless tobacco products is prohibited in SAS buildings, in company or personal vehicles, or anywhere on the SAS World Headquarters campus.

Meals

A continental breakfast is provided each day as part of the course fee. Classes will break for lunch around 12 noon; however, lunch is not provided.

Emergencies

In case of emergency, your family or coworkers can leave you a message during class hours by calling the Training Center Coordinator at 312-819-6800.

In case of inclement weather, please call ahead for information on delayed openings or cancellations.

Directions

You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the SAS training course.

Continental Airport Express (1-888-2THE-VAN) provides transportation to and from O'Hare and Midway every 5-10 minutes to our recommended hotels. From O'Hare it departs at the lower level terminals 1, 2, 3 (near baggage claim area). From Midway, it departs across from the Southwest Airlines baggage claim area. The cost is $25 one-way or $48 round-trip from either airport.

If you are driving, the nearest parking facilities to our training center are the North Lot of Grant Park, located at Monroe and Michigan, and the Prudential Plaza garage. The rate at Prudential Plaza is $18.50 for 4-12 hours.

Note: In the wake of the national tragedy, our building (Prudential Tower) in Chicago has heightened its security procedures. All guests at the Tower must check in with security before gaining access to the elevators.

From Midway Airport:

Start out going southeast on W Airport Dr by turning right (0.40 mile)
Turn left onto S Cicero Ave / IL-50 (2.24 miles)
Take the I-55 N ramp (0.27 mile)
Merge onto I-55 N (6.75 miles)
Take the US-41 N / Lake Shore Dr. exit on the left (0.23 mile)
Merge onto S Lake Shore Dr. (2.12 miles)
Turn left onto E Jackson Dr. (0.36 mile)
Turn right onto S Michigan Ave. (0.51 mile)
Turn right onto E Lake St. (0.11 mile)
Turn right onto N Stetson Ave. (0.01 mile)

From O'Hare International Airport:

Start out going south on Departures towards Terminal Return (0.5 mile)
Stay straight to go onto Airport Exit (0.1 mile)
Turn slight left onto Departures (0.1 mile)
Take the I-190 E ramp (0.4 mile)
Merge onto I-190 E (2.7 miles)
Take I-90 E (13.3 miles)
Take the E Washington Blvd / 100 North Exit, exit number 51C (0.2 mile)
Turn left onto W Washington Blvd. (0.3 mile)
W Washington Blvd becomes W Washington St. (0.1 mile)
Turn left onto N Upper Michigan Ave. (1 mile)
Turn right onto E Lake St. (0.1 mile)
Turn right onto N Stetson Ave. (0.01 mile)

Suburban Metra Trains:

Once you check in for class, you may purchase bus passes for $1.25 each way for direct transportation to and from Union Station, Ogilivie Transportation (formerly Northwestern) Station, and LaSalle St. Station. Subway/"EL":
To the SAS Chicago office from Midway airport:
Take the Orange Line train that originates at Midway airport. Get off at the Randolph St Exit. Walk 1 block east on Randolph (away from Marshall Field's) toward Michigan Ave. Cross Michigan Ave. The Prudential building is on the left and can be entered from Randolph St.

To the SAS Chicago office from O'Hare airport:
Take the Blue Line train that originates at O'Hare airport. Get off at the Washington St Exit. Walk 3 blocks east on Washington toward Michigan Ave. Turn left (North) on Michigan avenue and walk 1 block. Turn right (East) on Randolph. The Prudential building is on the left and can be entered from Randolph St.

Other locations:
Red line: Get off at the Washington St Exit. Walk 2 blocks east on Washington toward Michigan Ave. Turn left (North) on Michigan avenue and walk 1 block. Turn right (East) on Randolph. The Prudential building is on the left and can be entered from Randolph St.

Brown, Purple, Orange, or Green line: Get off at the Randolph St Exit. Walk 1 block east on Randolph (away from Marshall Field's) toward Michigan Ave. Cross Michigan Ave. The Prudential building is on the left and can be entered from Randolph St.

Blue line: Get off at the Washington St Exit. Walk 3 blocks east on Washington toward Michigan Ave. Turn left (North) on Michigan avenue and walk 1 block. Turn right (East) on Randolph. The Prudential building is on the left and can be entered from Randolph St.

NOTE: When entering the Prudential Building from Randolph St, take the escalators up 1 level to the main lobby.
