On-Site Training Policies & Guidelines
Enrollment
A course description is provided to you for distribution to potential
attendees. SAS strongly recommends that only those with the
appropriate background participate in the course.
Four weeks before a scheduled course, you will be contacted to see if more
than 15 students will be attending. An additional fee of $150 per student
per day for more than 15 students will be charged. Training will be limited
to the number of seats available in a particular facility and no more than
20 students unless otherwise mutually agreed upon by you and SAS.
Purchase Orders
Customer purchase orders will be accepted as an administrative convenience.
Terms and conditions not agreed to in writing and signed on behalf of SAS
Institute Inc. do not apply.
Nondisclosure
SAS must receive any nondisclosure documents 3 weeks prior to any
service. No service provider has the authority to sign a nondisclosure
agreement upon arrival for a service.
Expenses
Travel expenses for SAS staff are additional. Expenses include round trip
coach airfare, rental car including gas or local transportation, hotel and
meal expenses.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel training without penalty (25% of the published applicable fee),
you must cancel no later than 21 days before the scheduled start date. To
cancel, call your Training Services Sales Representative. We will be happy
to work with you on alternative dates. Rescheduling training less than 21
days prior to the original start date of the course is considered a
cancellation of training and the 25% penalty will be charged.
Recording Devices
With the exception of accommodations made for disabled students, SAS
strictly prohibits the use of audio or video recording devices during
training sessions.
Class Roster
A class roster of all attendees must be supplied prior to the course.
Diplomas will be sent to you after the course, if requested.
Course Materials
SAS provides one copy of course materials for each attendee.
Please note that all course materials are copyrighted and duplication is
not permitted.
Course Hours
Standard course hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with 15 minute
breaks in the morning and afternoon and one hour for lunch. The last day
of the course ends at 4 p.m. If this does not fit your normal work
schedule, please notify your Training Services Sales Representative to make
any necessary changes.
Class Facilities
The customer is responsible for furnishing all facilities and equipment
required to conduct the course, including but not limited to computer
terminals, audiovisual equipment, and classroom space. Customer is also
responsible for ensuring that the software required for conducting the
course is properly licensed, installed, and available for access as
necessary during the class.
Computer Workshops
SAS recommends there be no more than 2 students per terminal, PC,
or workstation. Workshops are most beneficial when in a central location,
convenient to the classroom, so the instructor can interact with the
students during the workshop sessions.
You will receive a computer tape or diskette that contains workshop data to
install before the course begins. Data should be loaded so that students
will have read/write access. Installation instructions are also provided.
