- write out duplicate observations to a new SAS data set using new SORT procedure options
- manipulate character data with new SAS functions and Perl Regular Expressions

Before attending this course, you should be able to
- submit SAS programs on your operating system
- use a LIBNAME statement
- understand the structure of a SAS data set
- write a DATA step using Version 8 statements and options
- be familiar with the Version 8 features of Base SAS procedures such as PRINT, SORT, and FREQ
- use SAS functions, formats, and informats.
