This course is for experienced applications developers who want to build GUI applications using advanced features of SAS/AF software.

Learn how to

build application windows using FRAME entries
create, compile, and execute SAS Component Language (SCL) programs
use the model/viewer paradigm for displaying information
use the SCL debugger
view data in a form
view and edit data in a table and validate modifications to data in a table
create and use SCL lists, including those containing sublists
share information between application windows
create customized SAS/AF components
deploy an application.

Who should attend

Experienced applications developers. The SAS/AF Software: Application Development I course is not a prerequisite, although prior application development experience is assumed.

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, you should either have attended the SAS/AF Software: Application Development I course or be an experienced GUI applications developer. You should also have a thorough understanding of Base SAS software as described in the SAS/AF Software: Application Development I course prerequisites. Specifically, you should

understand the SAS System at the level taught in the SAS Programming I: Essentials course
