This course is for individuals who are comfortable with learning large amounts of information in a short period of time. This course provides an in-depth look at SAS 9.1 software, an overview of the SAS Intelligence Platform and Architecture, as well as hands-on experience with the complete planning, installation and configuration on multiple machines. (This course is not meant to replace the services of the SAS Consulting installation team, but to provide additional knowledge to our customers necessary to assist in the installation process and maintain the software after the installation has been completed).

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, you should

read SAS Intelligence Platform: Overview (.pdf)
have experience with Windows operating systems and LINUX, SAS IOM, Object Spawner, SAS/CONNECT, SAS/SHARE, and SAS 8.2 installation.

installation and configuration of the SAS OLAP server machine (LINUX or Windows)
validation of each server tier

Security and SAS Management Consol

protecting the metadata repository

Mid-tier (Web) Installation and Configuration (optional, for sites that will be implementing the Web Tier)
