Starting date may be interpreted incorrectly for Time ID variable

When creating a time ID variable using a starting date (entered as a two or three digit number) and a frequency, the starting date may be interpreted incorrectly by the Time Series Forecasting System, resulting in an incorrect time ID.

For example, if 49 is entered as the starting date, then the resulting Time ID variable has a starting date of 01 January 1949, regardless of the YEARCUTOFF= system option.

To circumvent the problem, enter the month, day and four digit year explicitly. For example, enter either 01JUL2010 or 07/01/2010. If the system option YEARCUTOFF=1920 for example, the same starting date could be entered using a two digit year as either 01JUL10 or 07/01/10. Press ENTER after entering the starting date in order to see the interpreted starting date appear in the field. Then after verifying the interpreted date, click OK to create the correct time ID variable.

THIS IS A YEAR 2000 READINESS DISCLOSURE.
