V6-DATASOURCE-E173 Accessing CRSP data on Alpha Open VMS system produces error

Accessing CRSP data on the Alpha Open VMS system with Release 6.12 of the SAS System produces the following:

  ERROR: The layout of record 1 in FILEREF does not agree with any of
  the RECORD descriptors defined for FILETYPE=CR95DAS.

A fix has been placed on the FTP site in /techsup/download/base. Download the file sasdtsrc_alp612.exe in binary format. Rename the original sasdtsrc.exe (located in SAS$ROOT.PROCS) to sasdtsrc.org for archival purposes. Then rename the downloaded sasdtsrc_alp612.exe to sasdtsrc.exe and place in SAS$ROOT.PROCS

This problem has been fixed in 6.12 maintenance release TS045.
