V6-SYS.SYS-C588 Support for IBM releases of OS/390 and z/OS

SAS Institute recommends you upgrade to SAS Release 6.09E TS475 when you migrate to OS/390. The latest maintenance is supported in the new z/OS environment in 64-bit mode. Obtaining information from the new IBMzSeries processors has no adverse affect on SAS SETINIT application. Release 6.09E TS455 through TS475 requires the zap associated with SAS Note V6-MACRO-E726 be applied for full OS/390 compatibility (V2R6 or later and all releases of z/OS). SAS/CONNECT and SAS/SHARE sites must also refer to V6-TCPIP-F735 and V6-SYS.SYS-D689(TS455 only). ITSV and ITCM sites should refer to SAS Notes V6-SERVER-H017 and V6-CLIENT-H018.

Release 6.09E TS450 requires the zaps associated with SAS Notes V6-SYS.SASIO-D339 and V6-SYS.SASIO-D182 be applied for full OS/390 compatibility. SAS/SHARE sites must also refer to V6-SYS.SYS-D689.

Release 6.08 TS430 may run after applying zaps associated with SAS NotesV6-SYS.SASIO-D339 and V6-SYS.SASIO-D182. SAS/SHARE sites must also refer to V6-SYS.SYS-D689. All prior releases are not supported.
