Usage Note 17811: Adding the option USERREGS to the AIX environment variable LDR_CNTRL
SAS 9.1.3 Foundation with Service Pack 4 requires the use of the IBM
1.4.2 SR2 Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
We recommend that you add the option USERREGS to the
AIX environment variable LDR_CNTRL. Adding this option
ensures proper garbage collection by the IBM Java Virtual Machine.
The LDR_CNTRL environment variable is exported within the file
!SASROOT/bin/sasenv
Open !SASROOT/bin/sasenv and search for the following line:
LDR_CNTRL="LOADPUBLIC"
Multiple options can be concatenated by separating each with the "@"
symbol. Modify the expression above to read:
LDR_CNTRL="LOADPUBLIC@USERREGS"
