Restart all SAS services and SAS spawners after you renew your software. In order to use newly licensed products included in a new SAS installation data file (SID file) and for new expiration dates to take effect, you must restart all SAS servers and SAS Spawners after you apply the new SID file.

On a Microsoft Windows operating system, go to Windows Services and click on the NAME column heading to sort alphabetically. Then, view SAS items. Next, click on the DESCRIPTION column heading to sort alphabetically to see any additional services related to SAS that do not start with the name SAS. The SAS services and SAS spawners can be started manually, in the correct order, using instructions below.

Note: Stop the SAS services in the reverse order.
