The following error occurs when you use the SCHEMA= option in the SQL procedure's CONNECT statement:

This error happens in PROC SQL code that is using pass-through processing and that accesses DB2 with SAS 9.2. The same code runs without error in SAS^® 8 and SAS^® 9.1.3.

The SCHEMA= option has never been a valid option with PROC SQL pass-through code. In SAS 8 and SAS 9.1.3, the software simply ignored the SCHEMA= option.

In SAS 9.2, the code catches the invalid parameter, thus causing the error message to be written to the log.

To work around the issue, do one of the following:

• Remove the SCHEMA= option from the CONNECT statement.
• Connect to your database with a LIBNAME statement, where the SCHEMA= option is valid.
