Usage Note 16265: "SAS IOM Data Provider failed to open data" accessing SAS data sets
through defined libraries in Enterprise Guide 3.0
When you access SAS data sets through a defined library in Enterprise
Guide 3.0, the following error message might appear:
SAS IOM Data Provider failed to open data.
There are several problems that can cause this error:
1. A server-side problem caused by lack of permissions to or an
an inability to access the WORK library.
2. An Integration Technologies problem on the client side. Reinstall
<CD>:\eguide\bundles\inttechc\setup.exe.
3. Problems with the SAS IOM Data Providers. Reinstall
<CD>:\eguide\bundles\sasoledb\setup.exe
4. A Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) problem. Install the
MDAC 2.8 components from www.microsoft.com/data/download.htm.
