Usage Note 13302: "Enterprise Guide has encountered an unexpected error" message appears
when invoking Enterprise Guide 3.0
When you invoke Enterprise Guide (EG), the following error message might
appear:
The message Enterprise Guide has encountered an unexpected error
may occur.
Additional error messages might include the following:
System.IO.FileNotFoundException - File or assembly name
Syncfusion.Tools, or one of its dependencies, was not found.
These messages indicate that the Syncfusion component used by Enterprise
Guide did not install correctly. Reasons for these failures include
installing over network shares and using copied media.
The workaround is to install Syncfusion from the Enterprise Guide CD:
<EG CD>:\eguide\bundles\clienttasks\Syncfusion.msi
